Welcome to Fruits of my Labor! We are a small cottage industry whose philosophy of land use aligns with the concepts of recycling and resource conservation. The products we sell are created by a small group of individuals who believe in the use of techniques and materials that represent responsible maintenance and management of the environment. We produce items that are not normally found in department stores and variety shops. The products are made from mostly denim, cotton and other natural fibers. The use of natural fibers allows us to look beyond the useful life of the product, to the disposal of the product after its useful life. The larger segment of customers who use our products are people who have an appreciation for environmental protection as well as unusual specialty items and uniquely embellished wearing apparel and accessories.
Our most popular item is the insulated tote. Common uses for the tote are transporting food to work or to picnics, keeping medications cool during road trips and transporting groceries home from grocery shopping. In addition to these uses, the tote makes it possible to eat healthily under many circumstances where refrigeration is not available; the tote has the versatility of retaining cool or warm temperatures.
